Artist Reception Saturday April 22nd 2017
Exhibition on view through April 30th
Originally part of Brit Week, Los Angeles, the show, which will run from April 22nd -April 30th , 2017, is a unique offering from UAL alumni - transplants from England and Europe who work in diverse fields, including the fashion and textile industries, contemporary art, film and animation, photography, product and graphic design and have made Los Angeles their home.
The University of the Arts (UAL) is Europe's largest and best known provider of arts education, formed from a conglomerate of internationally renowned art schools such as Central Saint Martins, Chelsea College of Arts, and the London College of Fashion.
Owned and curated by fellow expat Valda Lake, Wallspace is a dynamic gallery that presents art in an unconventional setting with the goal of creating a floor-to-ceiling visceral experience. The gallery represents over 50 emerging and more established LA-based contemporary abstract artists. Valda is excited to be co-producing The Blitz Mentality and to host the alumni working in such a variety of interesting fields.
